Comments/Tell Me Your Story

  1. This is a definite must buy, must read. Not only can you relate to it because it is written by a mom, but you can use this information in everyday life. I have been trying to finish reading Tracy's book, but it is very, very difficult to read thru all the tears. This book if very emotional, almost heart wrenching. I can't wait to get to the end to read about the wonderful outcome of Blake and Tracy's journey. Although this book may have started to explain their journey, I believe Tracy has done a better job at explaining life. I have come to appreciate my own children more and squeeze them a little tighter with each hug, and be glad when they want momma to hold them. Tracy, thanks so much for sharing your life's little secrets. I hate it that you and Blake and Taylor had to go thru the bad to get to the good. And you are "lucky", lucky to have those little ones. They are truly God's little blessings and He sent you Angels. Good luck on the book; it should fly off the shelves.

  2. I started writing Tracy's story about an hour ago and just have to stop for a moment and tell you how grateful I am that you "introduced" me to her and that we may be able to help others through her and Blake's story and her book. What a privilege and an honour it is to tell this story!

  3. Smile for Your Child is the survival guide for parents who have just received the news that their child has a life-changing illness. Tracy writes from the heart using her experiences to let parents know that it is possible to survive a life-changing event and be ... OK. Although this book is geared toward parents of small children, the simple truths shared in it are applicable to life-changing events at any age. The book is filled with uplifting quotes and anecdotes that remind us of the importance of a positive attitude - especially when blind-sided by reality. It is not a long book. It takes about an hour to read cover to cover. But is a book that can be read and re-read.

  5. Thank you for sharing, Tracy - and congratulations on the success you are having with your book. I know what it is like to have to keep smiling when your baby is hurting - I just never did anything positive with that experience and you did. I admire what you have done. I know it will help so many other people.

  7. Hey Tracy,
Congrats on the book. I am looking forward to reading it. We could have used something like this when Jett had several overnights at Texas Childrens when he was 4 months old and was having trouble breathing. I know it wasn't anything like you guys have been through but it's still tough to see your little one laying on a hospital bed with tubes hanging off him. Everything we went through with Jett has prepared us for what we had to go through with Kerris when she had surgery at 7 weeks old. She too had breathing problems. She had laringomalasia. Her treachea was being blocked 100% when she breathed in. Drs had to go in and cut the flap that was causing the problem. We almost felt the surgery was routine. Anyways, both kids are doing well now.

  8. i am so proud of you and the work you have done for the cause. your strength and devotion should set the standard for being a mother. i am so sorry for your pain. as a mother of 3 young ones, i thank God everyday for their health and happiness. my youngest child, sophia marie, was born with a small dermoid cyst on her right temple and we have to keep a close eye on it to make sure there is no further growth. i kiss it daily in the hopes that mommy's kisses will heal all, but there isn't a second that goes by that i am not scared to death about it. i know i wish i could take it for her. i would quickly wear it on my temple if i could. i know you have had these same thoughts, but to a much higher degree. i think about your accident on the zipline and as an adult am able to try to understand how that must have changed your entire being and outlook on your blessed life. you have overcome so much! i have a HUGE amount of respect for you as a person, wife, and most importantly, a mother. i will proudly read your book and pass it on to someone deserving. i.hope life is a little easier for you from this moment on! please give your son and extra hug and kiss from me when you tuck him into dreamland tonight. those healing kisses are so very important! you and he will always be in my thoughts and prayers! congratulations on your success as a writer and parent. the world would be a better place with more tracy grays in it!

  11. Received and read your book, what an amazing success story. It's so awesome that you are able to provide such valuable information to parents who are now in the shoes you were in. Blake must be so proud to have such a strong caring momma! ;)

  12. I plan to purchase your book and look forward to reading your insight. I am hoping it will help me focus on staying continually positive for my son. Please let me know when you arrange your next book signing as I would love to be there. Yes, we are definately the "chosen" ones. This experience has been a true test of strength among so many other things.

Thank you again for taking time out of your day to respond. It means so much.

    Take care,

  13. That’s a hell of a thing you and your family endured and conquered. I don’t have children, but I have a niece who is 15 months and the thought of something bad happening to her would make me crazy. For you to create something positive out of a very negative situation shows what kind of person you are. Good luck in your quest.
